Nationals Public Forum Topic Analysis


Resolved: Current trends in American political dialogue compromise meaningful democratic deliberation.

The 2010 NFL Public Forum resolution is different from most other Public Forum resolutions in two significant ways:

(1) The answer is driven almost entirely by how the rather ambiguous terms are defined/understood;

(2) It’s largely a value question.

In this brief essay, I will explore some basic understanding of the terms and discuss some of the arguments on both sides.
